Two different reasons to book this route
This zone covers two distinct destinations on the same road. Monte Cristi town sits on the far north-west coast, known for El Morro — the flat-topped headland and national park overlooking the sea — its salt flats, and a quiet colonial centre that sees far fewer visitors than the north coast resorts. Dajabón is the border town further inland, where the binational market days draw traders from both sides of the frontier with Haiti; guests booking Dajabón are usually crossing for business or family reasons rather than tourism, and the driver drops at the Dominican side of the crossing itself. Both drives run the same corridor west from Santiago, so we quote them at the same rate and confirm which one you need before dispatching the vehicle.
