Why Licey and Tamboril share a rate

Licey al Medio and Tamboril sit on either side of the airport access road, a few minutes apart, which is why we quote them together at the shortest drive time on the price list. Licey is the larger of the two, a commuter town for Santiago with its own commercial strip; Tamboril is known nationally as the centre of the Dominican leather and shoe-manufacturing industry, so a share of our bookings here are factory visits and supplier meetings rather than tourism. Both are flat, easy addresses with none of the gate or security procedures you get at a resort, so the driver goes straight to the door once you send the exact address or a pin.

How the Licey pickup runs

1. 1Send the address in Licey or Tamboril, flight number, date and party size on WhatsApp.
2. 2We reply with the written price and confirm the vehicle.
3. 3After immigration and baggage, walk out to the small STI arrivals hall and look for the sign with your name.
4. 4Direct 10–20 minute drive to your door. No other guests in the car.

Hotels, villas and drop-off points

Licey and Tamboril are residential and industrial towns without a hotel strip. Send the street address, factory name or a pin and we confirm the drop-off in writing.

We drop at the door of the address you send. For factory or office visits, the driver calls ahead from the airport if the entrance is not obvious from the road.

Bigger groups

7–14 passengers ride in a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP for this zone. Golf bags, strollers, wheelchairs and surf gear are fine — give us the luggage count and we send the right vehicle instead of guessing at the curb.
