What makes Constanza different
Constanza is the high agricultural valley south of Jarabacoa, ringed by mountains and sitting close to Valle Nuevo, one of the coldest points in the Dominican Republic — nights here regularly drop low enough for a jacket, unusual for the country. The road climbs steadily past Jarabacoa's waterfalls and rafting put-ins before winding higher into the pine forest and farmland that supply much of the country's strawberries, garlic and flowers. It is a genuinely mountainous drive rather than a highway run, so the 2.5 to 3 hour estimate assumes clear weather; fog and rain in the pass can add time, which we build into the pickup schedule for a return flight. Most guests stay in cabins or small farm lodges rather than large hotels, so send the property name or a pin and we confirm the drop-off in writing.
